Wireless ADSL router

Having had bad experiences with 3Com kit, was wondering what good or bad reviews people have had for their networking gear.

Was thinking of NetGear or DLink...

Re: Wireless ADSL router

Have a Netgear unit. About one year old - just sits and works, needs a reboot every now and then, but don't we all?

Re: Wireless ADSL router

I love the netgear routers. I keep specifying them to people and no complaints yet.

DrayTec Vigor 2800G. It has avanced in-built Firewall features and is seamless. I use a VPN connection to work and it has an in-built capability.
Used the D-Link prior to that and it worked well, with the occasional re-boot. Nice little unit though.

I suppose this FREE Thompson Speedtouch 576 Wireless Modem Router I got from AOL is the biggest pile of junk on the market, mind you I've not connected it, can't see the point while my ADSL modem is working ok.

You and that three letter word (A#L) . I have configured one Thompson router and it appeared ok (albeit abnormal ip address for configuration)
Routers are ideal for multiple computer households, or if the phone line is not near the PC. If what yuo got works Mike, then stick with it.
Cheers
Kevin

Yes I know, bla bla, but as I've said before, no problems with AOL, but I'm considering changing now that Talk Talk own AOL, I'll see how it goes. :thumb:

Re: Wireless ADSL router

Been using Netgear for over a year, with 4 computers feeding from it, and so far no problems at all.
