Email address problem

Just hoping someone can give me some advice. There are nearly 100 people on the mailing list for the East Midlands News Letter but I cant send this months out due to what I think is a faulty Email address. If somebody cancels there Email account would this stop the Email from going at all to anybody. Is there an easy way to find the faulty address. Or will I have to go through them one at a time.

Depends on your E-mail client package..
If outlook then it should send to the others and send a return reciept to you stating which ones could not be delivered.

Other systems i am not too sure of but don't believe that they should stop you from sending.

I am assuming all others send OK

How about if you split the distribution list into 2 and see what happens.
If it is an obsolete e-mail address then spliting the affected distribution list into 2 each time will be a quicker way to find it.

An obsolete email address shouldn't stop you sending mail, you should just get the mail back telling you it was undeliverable, and which email address it was.

As a temporary measure, could you post the newsletter as an attachment to a thread in the east mids forum

What error message are you getting from your mail program Martin? Could you copy paste the error up here and I'll try and work it out for you.

One dodgy address shouldn't wreck a distribution list.

Turn off mcaffee flood control. Mcaffee places a limit on the number of email addresses you can send to in one go, it thinks it is an exploit.

Looks like Rob was very close I have sorted it out for now by breaking the mailing list up and it has all gone successfully so no problems with the Addresses. So it must be down to the firewall. Recently upgraded with the same provider ( computer associates I think )so will have to get the settings checked. Cheers for your suggestions.:thumb: :thumb:
