Gallery Photos

I used to be able to copy and paste photos from the gallery but can no longer do so.
Has anything changed or is it my pc?
Any tips please.

Mark

You could do a screen grab, (hold down ctrl and print screen) and then paste it (ctrl + V) into picture manager or another application and then crop the sides (select edit picture on the top toolbar), the quality is ok, depends what you want to use it for.

What do you want to copy?

If you are looking to put images into this or any other forum, then copy the Linked Thumbnail: entry and paste that into wherever you want to display a picture.

Or click the little icon under the linked thumbnail for a linked medium image or default medium image.

I think Mark is saying you used to be able to right click and save to your hard drive whereas now this seems to be blocked. Is this still possible? At least I'm not the only one who can't work out how

Right click has been disabled as there was too much bandwidth theft going on.

As Dave said , normally i would copy photos from the gallery of things people have done in their build that i like or find usefull into a folder on my hard drive for quick reference.
It's not a problem as the screen grab option works, just a bit more hassle.

Rob, what do you mean bandwidth theft

Just add it to your gallery favourites, under the image, look for a line of icons, click the left hand one.

Bandwidth theft is where someone embeds an image from another website instead of linking to it. So instead of using their bandwidth, they effectively steal someone elses by incorrect linking.

Ah i see the favorites icon now, thanks.

As for bandwidth theft is that through laziness or is it on purpose, do you lose that much?

Mark.
