Anyone had problems with Norton AV 2003?

My norton 2003 antivirus s/w has just stopped scanning my incoming and outgoing emails through outlook 2002. net result...virus laden emails being accepted by my machine!

To give then there due Symantec responded to my email the next day and we are trying to sort out the problem.

Has anyone else suffered a similar fate?

This is taking time that I should be spending sorting my garage out!!

Re: Anyone had problems with Norton AV 2003?

Well i am realy sorry to here that you have been virused, this is the pain in the but with pc's. I have to admit i have been using norton for years and never had a problem. It has been the best antivirus i have used and would never dream of using anything else. I hope you get it sorted out. Virus Writers = Prats and thats being polite.

Good Luck
Paul

Re: Anyone had problems with Norton AV 2003?

Hello
I work in IT, and i have to say i prefer Mcafee. Mcafee is both cheaper and has cured virus' that norton can't touch. Have you tried uninstalling anti virus and reinstalling it?
Cheers
Kevin

Re: Anyone had problems with Norton AV 2003?

Problem has now been solved thanks. It was all down to Zone Alarm, the lastest issue has a bug which prevents Norton from doing its thing. Zone labs are aiming to fix for ZA's next release.

cheers
