Power Steering

Has anybody fitted power steering to a GD.

Seems to be a luxury item on Cobra replica's, is it needed, a nice to have or unneccessary ?

Is it the rack or column which dicates whether fitting is possible.

Many thanks

Ryan

I'm sure it can be done. I was toying with the idea but once I got my steering set up a bit better, I find that it's not really necessary. It's a pig to park (ask anyone who's seen me at a SE Meet!!) but at speed it's fine.

I found it a bit odd as the wheel moves every time you go over a bump as there is no give in the system.

The newer GDs are using Vectra steering columns so might be able to retain power steering from them...
