Starter Motor

Hi

Can anyone tell me if a Rover starter motor with the solonoid on top/side (Range Rover style) will cause any problems with space etc in my rover engined GD build? The engine is a 3.5 from an SD1. My chassis hasn't arrived yet so can't measure it and I have a chance of a new starter motor with solonoid on top (as opposed to the bottom like the original Rover part). If it is a problem I will have to pay throught the nose for an original one from Rimmers with the solonoid below, as I can't find one like that anywhere else.

Thanks

Martin

Martin the best starter I have found is the Hi torque starter which is smaller than the standard rover unit exchange unit should run around £70 I think Jim @ jrv8 has some in stock, maybe worth giving him a shout
hope this helps
