Why?

It only takes an hour to remove the body - allegedly

nope, pretty sure the engine will need to come out first though as you wont get the box back past the clutch before it meets the chassis!

engine out is only 2 hours though (dont ask me how i know)

please let us know how you get on

May not help you but I have removed a T5 from behing a 302 leaving the engine in situ. We pulled the box removed the bellhousing and the removed both. This was to gain access to a crappy Mc Leod leaky slave set up.

I too would be interested to hear your findings as I expect at some point my stock clutch will need replacing.
Have you checked with Andy ?
As a matter of interest why the upgrade on the T56 ?

Talking

Sorry lads i am takening the engine out first Doh! The thought of taken the body off nearly puts me off,the chassis bolts still give me nightmares. If i was to remove the body i"d do it with the hire of a 2 post ramp to lift it clear. The reason for the up grade is the orginal box is done 50k miles in a New York camaro and finding Fifth and Sixth is hard sometimes. Joe at Sixspeed builts uprated boxes good for 700HP with brass forks etc for $1900 out right. thanks for the advice.

cheers James
