Nothing to do with getting more of a fair share in the Cobra Replica Market.

Don't get me wrong, I love the the new MK4 shape, but the MK3 was definitely an acquired taste.

The Mk3 isn't on steroids, and is a far prettier shape.

My Son had a toy steering wheel which he used to spin furiously, making loads of go-faster noises, leaning into all the tight corners, perhaps running the government feels a bit like that. You make all the noises, but when you stop you haven't really gone anywhere.

Its a personal preference, I prefer the MK3 shape over the MK4 shape, as I have never been a fan of sidepipes and buckets of chrome, its just too much to polish etc.

Maybe when I retire and have lots of time on my hands.....

Done my bit and had enough of employing 30 moaning staff and spending 8 hours a day up to my neck in paperwork, only got to wait another 5 years to get £90 a week State Pension.

I can still only tell different makes apart by looking at the tax disc...

That said, saw an unfinished Hawk body at Detling today.... mmmmm... (but why paint it?)
