yesterdays sprint at Elvington airfield- success!

won the rwd modified class by 3.5s and then messed up in the sprint shootout final with a spin on the very last bend so no trophy for me!
placed in the top 5 overall i think, against some 500bhp evos and scoobies, so very pleased with the car.

£45 for unlimited runs all day, driving license and helmet is all you need. rwd class needs some more v8s in there come on guys!

next event sun 20th June @ Elvington. noise limit was 105db mine flew through at 99.9db.

course was small sports cones on a large concrete handling pad, lap lasted 48.9s having started at 54s on my sighting lap.

hope to see some cobras next time!

Shame its the same weekend as the Silverstone Classic otherwise I'd go. Oh no I can't! It's a GD "invitation only" day!

yes its at barkston heath nr grantham as i understand it, i posted some info a bit back but the date hadnt been fixed then.
nice little tarmac sprint track plus a 1/4m strip up the other runway

i think its being opened up to non gd cobras once the initial places are offered to gd guys n gals. will check with andy tho

Maybe you'd like to ask him if he is still prepared to support the Club at the same time? Otherwise you/he should be using a different media to promote GD only events.

i was actually posting about a sprint day yesterday at elvington, nothing to do with GD, i replied to the guys above who posted on my thread.

no i'm not a member, joined up to talk to some fellow gd owners, didnt realise you had to pay to post on here. delete my threads if you want where it mentions GD sprint day if its considered advertising for them, not arsed either way, no skin off my nose, just trying to be helpful to fellow gd owners and cobra owners if they want to do any sprints

wasnt meaning appear funny above, no objection at all if posts concerning gd day are deleted to save winding anyone up, didnt realise, delete the posts if reqd. if its opened to all as was originally mentioned and can be posted up about fair play.
