Edelbrock Carb HELP!

Hello,
I'm in the process of fitting my Edelbrock 500cfm performer carb to my rover 3.5l V8. I'm struggling to fit it as don't know exactly where each part goes and where the throttle connects etc. The instructions provided with the carb are very basic.

I was wondering if it would be possible for anyone with the same set up to e-mail me some close up pictures of their carb set up showing all of the linkages and pipes etc connected so I can work from that?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance,

John

Re: Edelbrock Carb HELP!

Hi Sulshy

How did you get on with fitting your Edelbrock? I am considering doing the same but am also stumped about what happens to the kick-down linkage. I'd be very interested to hear (and see if you have pictures) your experience.

Re: Edelbrock Carb HELP!

Carbs are all on no problem there , The kick down linkage is my problem

It fits to the rear of the engine on passenger side, cable attaches ok from gearbox ( not a lot of play ?).
Fix it to the carb assume its the right place as cant see any where else and the lever movement is inhibited so it wont open to the full extent.

totally stumped now, can anyone HELP!!!!

Also I want to attach a ford granada/Capri T bar gear changer(really Smart) to the rover auto box, but Arms are on different sides. So I was thinking of welding the arm off rover changer on to it. Anyone done this.

sugestions

Cheer Sulshy

Re: Edelbrock Carb HELP!

I too would be grateful for any info/pictures, I thought it was going to be totally straight forward to fit, perhaps not.

My 3.5Rv8 and Edelbrock 500 will hopefully be with me within 2 weeks now!!

I don't even know what a kick down linkage is, but am hoping its only for an automatic so I don't need to know.
Cheers

Re: Edelbrock Carb HELP!

Hi Sulshy

How did you get on with your kick-down cable? I assume, from the picture, that you were using a Weber L8000 linkage kit - is that the case?
