| Dreams Do Come True ! Yes after many years of writing to Santa I am finally the proud owner of a new Dax Tojiero which has come hot off the Dave Brookes "production line". Complete with a mid tune Chevy 350 courtesy of Mike Huddart it's another very professional build thanks to Dave. And Yes it is the standard Dave Brookes blue with white stripe (apparantly he has a special deal on that colour or is it so that the guy at the SVA test centre still believes he is testing the same car?). The drive back from Dave's workshop to home in East Sussex was fantastic. I felt like a film star - so many admiring looks from the passing cars - I assume it was me that were all looking at and not the car! The best bit was this rather atrractive lady passenger of a Suburu leaning out of the window on the M25 to ask how big my engine was (Oh er missus!) - the fella next to her did not seem too impressed!!! I am now spending every waking hour behind the wheel... not only driving it but often just sitting in it whilst parked in the garage! I always did enjoy driving but now it is just bl*@dy marvelous! Guys - Is this normal for new Cobra owners...is this a permanent affliction?... should I seek therapy?...or maybe just pray for fine weather so I can feed the habit? Cheers, happy motoring and hope to meet some of you guys soon - I'm sure I will have many questions when I come to service the thing! Kevin..... "Happiness is a car called Cobra" |

| RE: Dreams Do Come True ! Kevin, I am suffering from the same affliction almost 2 months after getting my GD out for the first time. I have been to the doctor to try and sort my problem out but he says that the medical name for my problem is Grinnus Stupidicus, often exhibited by owners of Cobra replicas. Apparently the condition is not treatable without amputation although is in no-way harmful and can last for years without any further ill effects Glad to hear of another happy owner ... Chris |

| RE: Dreams Do Come True ! Ohh, what an affliction to have. It is also contagious and can be passed to any and all passengers. Robert Forum Admin http://www.cobraclub.com/flags/UK.gif

| RE: Dreams Do Come True ! "God this is painful" How very true, I am very happy for you - The way you describe it makes me even more anxious to get mine legally on the road. | RE: Dreams Do Come True ! The question is what are you doing out at that time of night, you should be tucked up at home with your Horlicks and slippers, you know how much you need your beauty sleep. :7 :7 Robert Forum Admin http://www.cobraclub.com/flags/UK.gif

| RE: Dreams Do Come True ! It's called a "mispent middle age". Better to be out cruising in the cobra than sat in front of a small luminous box. Wilf }>
