Hi Guys,
It's insurance time again for the cob, presently I'm with Backford Bloor, complete with all the usual bells and whistles, agreed value and so forth. BB have recently changed their provider from Ecclesiastical to KMGMotor. The new premium is now £487:75. for 5k miles.
Adrian Flux quoted me yesterday for all the same bell and whistles £283:00 including "road rage" cover !!!!
Pays to shop around.

Charlie, check the 'Agreed value' conditions with Adrian Flux, some people have said it's not the same as Backford Bloor's terms.

I looked around the same, but stayed with BB as cheaper aint always better.......

Got my insurance through AF £200 a year F/C with agreed value of £18000.Checked and double checked small print(even got my mum who's a solicitor to check it)

AF agreed value "seems" the same as BB, guess the only way to find out for sure is to make a claim, not something I'm planning!!!

When I approached AF last year they wanted an immobliser fitting for the agreed value policy, has it changed ????????????

Told them no immobiliser on car. when asked.....knowt said to contary!!!, went through all the questions and answers, phoned me back with quote and hard copy arrived yesterday. Not allowed to park with keys in, not to be parked after dark!! that sort of stuff. Perhaps is a competive business !!(I hope)

AF didn't ask if alarm immob fitted(one anyway) only real issue was if it was garaged at night or not (told them that it would be except if I was out at show etc)

I had a really bad experience with AF and would not use them again inspite of them being cheaper. Their customer serviced really was non existent and the sorting out of a simple clerical error became a huge and stressfull drama. Goodness knows how difficult it would be if you actually had to claim from them!
