Indicator switch

I am replacing my indicator switch with a Lucas off/on/off switch. There are three spade connectors, one on one side, two on the other side, also there are two slots in the middle of the switch. As there are only three wires to connect, one live wire, one for nearside indicators and one for offside, do I use the three speed connectors on the switch and if so, which one is the live connection?
