But what is also interesting is the fact that he says there are two moulds but they look just like bodyshells to me!

I have Included photos of the last 2 bodies to come from the moulds, so you can get an idea of the quality of the production.

Re: The Viper project for sale?

Sad to see another set-up going 't1ts up'
I think someone who could make a serious go of it ought to bring the Bright Wheel back to life (stay away from the viper name).

It needs someone who has knowledge of building cobs, and what makes them work well.
Someone who is respected so that people will take the car seriously and back the project.
Someone with the facilities to get it up and running.

DAVE THAT'S YOU!!!!!!!!!
Stop building other peoples cars and build your own.
Bring together all your knowledge of building great cars along with the best of all the other replica's.
You can do it- you know you want to!
The DB Bright-Wheel Cobra. sounds good

GO out there and make the finest cobra for sale today!

Re: The Viper project for sale?

What I would like to know is, bearing in mind the recent legal battle, why is this person selling the project now after all the work he has put into it ??? and not now putting it into production

Thanks for the vote of confidence Rich.

However, I would not build Viper kits if the project was given to me.
by all accounts the body is far from symetrical and the front wheel arches are awful. I would have to make a body from the mould then modify the body, straightening everything up, then change the front arches so that the car had a much broader appeal. Then I would have to make a new mould and throw the old one away.
The chassis is well out of date so the drawings would be no good. All that would be left after everything was sorted would be the name, and that doesn't have any credibility.
I would say that there is less here than AK, Dax anf GD all started out with.

Tinka.
What work has been put into it? The mould is the same and the chassis is still just a drawing.

He has allegedly redesigned the chassis to increase strength and reduce the weight at the same time, by better use of materials, at least that is what the web site always used to say

Re: The Viper project for sale?

Hi Tinka.
Cheeres for the info.
"Strengthened the chassis"....According to Eric. it was already the strongest chassis on the market!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe a name change from Viper to Panzer is in order.
