Number plates

Been looking at trying to get a personel number plate for my cob with either the letters COB in it or my initials GL or GCL .Found a few which were ideal except the price i.e

GL 1 (£250000)
GCL 1968 (£180000)
V8 COB (£75000)
COB3A (£10000)

Bargain prices ?????????

Am I right in thinking that you can get a plate newer than the current reg i.e My reg is B (1985) so I can only get a plate before 1985 or before or a non year plate i.e ZZZ 111 like Irish plates

Fancy giving me £250000 so I can buy GL1.
Nice plate for me but i don't think a second mortgage would go down well with the wife who HATES the cob anyway.

Gareth mate, think you might have one nought to many on those prices, or number plate prices have gone up since I last looked. :thumb::thumb:

P.S My wife also hates the Cob, spoils her hair. :thumb:

Im in the process of buying D20 BRA, with some imagination and illegal action the D Can be made to look like an out of shape C. A steal at £450, plus the holding of it on retention until its registered.

DVLA have a site,you can go on and look up plates etc and they give you the price there and then. Mind you I looked at AK54 NDY (AKS ANDY) initials etc and they wanted over a grand for that !!!!!

Thats where mine is coming from Andy, I think its even still on there although I have the paperwork for it here in front of me.
