Dial SVA Compliance

Made some covers for my Autometer gauges from rubber. Should I be able to get through SVA. They are a snug fit and have to be pulled off. May take a couple of posts to download pictures.

Dave what is your opinion and by the way you can have them when SVA'd if they work if any of your customers want the Autometer Dials.
Mike.

Re: Dial SVA Compliance

My interpretatation is, if anything is temporary to cover up sharp radius's and can be pulled off easily, it will fail.

Re: Dial SVA Compliance

You are right Mike but I suppose it comes down to the definition of "temporary" applied by the examiner. They have to apply some common sense otherwise things like the nut/bolt covers sold by Tifosi wouldn't get through (and my understanding is that they do).

In the end you just have to hope that your examiner is a reasonably fair bloke whose missus didn't have a headache the night before and wasn't cut up by a badly driven kit car on his way to work.

Re: Dial SVA Compliance

Thanks for that guys. Think I will stick some fabric and lap it behind the dials so it cant be pulled off and remains removable.
