Starter-less LS1

I hear GM are working on a system to do away with starter motors altogether. I think it works out where each piston is in the stationary engine and injects and fires as needs be to get the engine running.

I think once they ditch the starter and the cam (see http://www.vvt.150m.com/) then we should be looking at some really light engines...

Cam less engines ?

lets hope microsoft aren't writing the software. Imagine a fatal error resuling in a valve stuck open at 8000 rpm. ouch
