RE: Ferrari F40's

Maybe he gets pleasure from his wives, but I guarantee he gets little indeed from the cars. I've worked for rich peple for years and they've all been a miserable bunch. A normal person buys (or builds!)a car, usually has to stretch a bit financially to get it, is very likely to get lots of pleasure from it. People who can acquire stuff effortlessly get no pleasure from any of it.

Not true - I acquired two bottles of wine earlier today with very little effort, and I sure as hell am appreciating them now!!

My Son had a toy steering wheel which he used to spin furiously, making loads of go-faster noises, leaning into all the tight corners, perhaps running the government feels a bit like that. You make all the noises, but when you stop you haven't really gone anywhere.

RE: Ferrari F40's

In my house, only the Port lives long enough to need a decanter - the wine gets drunk young. Always did like a bit of young stuff.
