If the car is OK you will have nothing to concern yourself with.

GOOD LUCK!! :thumb:

Best of luck Robin, and remember there's nothing to be scared of except fear itself (oh and slippery roundabouts )

Re: SVA Booked...

Robin - as I have frequently said, for all it's (many) faults, the SVA test is still the best thing that ever happened to the kit car industry.

One day, as you pass the three figure mark on your speedo, you will be (much) happier knowing that your car passed a reasonably rigourous check of it's basic engineering and construction.

Still - it is a stressful time for us builders, so best of luck.

Re: SVA Booked...

Thanks everyone. I'm a bit peeved that they only accept kit cars in the morning and I have to be there by 8am - doesn't give me a lot of time to road test on the way up!! Better set the headlights up the best I can before I leave!!

Re: SVA Booked...

The way I have set headlamps is to shine the headlamps off your tin top onto the wall in your garage (this will only work if you know your tin top lights are correct ) about 6ft away and mark the headlamp pattern on the wall, remove tin top and put cobra in exactly the same place, adjust lights to suit. :thumb: :thumb:

Re: SVA Booked...

Robin - take the car for an MOT before SVA.

Who knows how many miles you might have to do on the "scenic" route to the MOT station? Brakes can be bedded in etc.

Many benefits in doing this - if you are nice to the MOT man, he will let you set your headlamps etc. up there and then, and it will avoid any silly oversight type fail points on SVA day. Just knowing it has passed an MOT makes the worries of the full SVA test less.

Most MOT guys I have met come over all co-operative when something "Interesting" turns up in their test bay.
