At last found a garage who would give my cobra a tune, and they were really local so thats was great, took the car down on friday lunchtime. walked in to town (yes it was freezing) got my hair cut, walked back picked the car up. (only cost 15 quid as bloke was well into his amercian muscle cars etc and just loved to tune it for me) proceeded to drive home after being given some cautionary advice. 1) tick over is a bit low as you have no choke, but when it warms up will be fine, 2) you do realise its a monster 3) try to be gentle with it for a while.

so off I drive home, on the route back i have to pass the local police station, where theres also a set of traffic lights, as luck had it i had to stop at these lights, i waited patiently and then proceeed to set off,, i noticed that a police car was attempting to cross a yellow box junction to turn right and go off down the road in front of me. not wanting to have a police car behind me or just maybe my own good nature i of course slowed to allow the marked car to pull out. we then started the old head nod conversation of "you go" , "no you","no i insist" etc at this point traffic had backed up it was obvious he wanted to follow me, i attempted to move my car, the revs dropped i tried to compensate just caught it..............5 seconds of burnt rubber later with an ear piecing screech my car eventually starts to pull away..... slowly i trundle past in front of the police car,, i drove very slowly all the way home....... and yes they did follow me for quite a while.

Can you let me know where you went to get the tuning done , I believe you guys are also in Rugby and it might come in handy in the Spring :thumb: , I may come home by a different route though ! !
