The different makes are worlds apart in some respects.

    What budget do you have
do you want to build it or buy a turnkey
what do you want to use it for
How many miles per year will you do
will it be a pub car or will you want to drive it properly
    Best Regards

    Hi,

Welcome to the forum , 95% of the people you speak to will say that their make of replica is the best, it depends on what you are looking for, Sumo 3's seem to have a nice driving position (compared to my GD ) but that is my opinion. If you are looking for > 300 bhp and a car in the spirit of a cob then they would be worth looking at along with the others. If you want the looks and the power then go for a Gd / Crendon etc . Make sure that you look at all the manufacturers and make up your own mind, all you have to do is read the fiero thread and see the different ideas about them. If you wait untill the next kit car show or goto a local meet you will be able to look at a range of cars in one place. Dont buy untill you are happy as you will probably end up taking a couple of years building and will have plenty of spare time.

Ask any owners local to you to have a look around their car and maybe if they will let you drive in it. You may even get some free help for the price of coffee

All the best in what ever you get and i hope you enjoy your build.

P.S. After all of the above i didnt build mine i bought it made but i did get 25% of the way through.

    Oh dear Robert!
You were doing so well at staying off your soap box and then you had a relapse right on the last line.
When you say drive it properly, do you really mean "Drive it like a tw4t"?
does this mean that cars that drive "Properly" aren't fit for the pub?

No that is not what I meant

    Not at all.

You really love to twist things to your own mentality.
