Discs...........

Hi all

Can anyone tell me the diameter of the front vented discs with 5 stud fitment from the Granada mk3 please, would they be the same size as the rear? - rear discs I have are 273mm vented.

Thanks in advance

Jason

Re: Discs...........

They are the same diameter, but my rears are solid whereas the fronts are vented. Are you sure they're rear discs you have?

Re: Discs...........

I'm sure the discs I have are for the rear, although they need replacing as they came with the rear diff/driveshafts/hubs etc etc still bolted together from a Granada Cosworth on a L or M plate 93/94?

I was going to purchase the Wilwood package (front & rear discs/calipers) but seeing the price is a tad high at the moment and I was going to purchase standard ones

Can I fit any size disc (in reason) to the front ie 260mm?

Jason

Re: Discs...........

Cheers, glad you like the site.

It's possible the cosworth had vented rears - I've only got the standard 2.0 kit.

From what I can see, I think you would have problems fitting different sized discs to the front. Any bigger and they'll foul the caliper, any smaller and not all the brake pad will be covering the disc. When I was looking for new discs there were a few places on the internet that had standard items very cheaply, just a case of searching about. I've gone for Black Diamond discs with OEM pads (as I had a spare set already bought), though I may upgrade the pads later.

Re: Discs...........

Cheers Paul

Pilgrim sent me a set of calipers for the front (long story, tell you another time) I think they would of come from a standard front disc set up, I'm going to take a chance a buy a set of discs off ebay - new in box QH one's. I'll stick to the 273mm rear and try the ones from ebay (260mm)

Thanks again

Jason
