Cobra Wives support forum

I read in another post earlier that the above is being considered.

I was not at the AGM last year but trust this critical matter was discussed and received members support despite the obvious risks. I believe that many terrorist organisations around the world are now using the internet to better coordinate their activities and mobilise their members into action.

Fortunately I enjoy a great relationship with my wife but a certain understanding exists in our household. So for example when I see her wearing something that is obviously new and expensive and comment as such and she replies, "Oh no, don't you remember I've had this a while now - bought it when were on holiday 2 years ago in XYZ on the market and just never got round to wearing it"

Similarly when I decided to change my car from auto to manual then the cost discussion as I recall was at best limited to the gearbox, with everything else (clutch, bellhousing, pedal box, gearbox mounts etc) coming under "Sundries" and were not part of the discussion.

Joking aside maybe a wives forum would be fun, accepting the obvious risks associated. Oh and one final comment or request before the wives fotum goes live. Would those members who are still building their cars and include the £ spent in the post sign offs please stop doing this.

Think I'd better change my avatar, the wife might guess who it is.

I may make it a private forum, so you lot won't know what shopping trips they are all considering, staple food shopping obviously. They also use that wonderful term of sundries to cover the purchase of a pair of Jimmy Choos at vast expense.

Re: Cobra Wives support forum

The last thing we need is a support forum for wives.

I only have to think of the earache and grief I get from the Mrs and the mother in law when they broach the subject of " all your money going on that Cobra" when they are together, to blanche at the trouble there would be if support from similar "Cobra widows" was available on the interweb at all hours........

You'd think that after earning bucket fulls of goodie points from both of the "dears" I would be on safe ground, but after 1 new house, two new bathrooms, two new kitchens, a fully fittted bedroom, two holidays in the USA and two holidays in Australia, one house totally recarpeted and a conservatory plumbed and wired up I would be safe from criticism.

However, it is apparent that ladies of the female species do have short memories, apart from listing our faults and mistakes.......No wonder I feel safe in the garage !

Cheers,

Tony

Jesus! Don't give the creatures full access. If mine finds out I've spent so many £££££ on my build I'm for the high jump! I'm already 500% over budget from what I told her originally.

Panic stricken member!

Re: Cobra Wives support forum

The wives forum, is a very good idea, we could censor your spending (jimmy choos an excellent investment ) it would make us feel less guilty when spending your money. We could arrange coffee mornings for you, that way you don't need to all meet in a pub. How about if we arrange to knit you all jumpers with cobra logo. Hey this could really get interesting the scope for our interference is endless.
We could even have speed restricters put into the cobras.
Cheers
Helen

Thats it! The invasion has started. Be afraid.....Be Very Afraid. I hope you are no relation to Helen of Troy? She brought down a whole empire!!!!!!

Troops rally round and see of the infidels before it's too late!

Even the smiley faces have turned grey with fright!

How about bright pink as the new colour for cobra's, I have always liked furry dice as well, and what aboutthose pink furry steering wheel covers.
Have to go Kevins home, he always spoils my fun
