RamSC Header tank donor?

My RamSC has two threads welded to the centre of the front sub frame between the bonnet hinge mounts apparently for a Header tank, can anyone advise me on the donor vehicle so I can try and source please?

Re: RamSC Header tank donor?

Its a specific tank made for the RAM, I have a spare one that could do with a little TLC that you can have for £20 plus post (watch mine spring a leak 30 minutes after posting the spare...)

You don't have to use the special one. I used the small rounded metal one (rather like a hip flask) that came of a Jag or maybe a Wolesey. Mounting it low on one side of the crossmember gives better access than having it sat on top and in the middle.

Re: RamSC Header tank donor?

Dingocooke, I am interested in your header tank and would appreciate a picture(s) of it please!
If its what I require I would be happy to pay £20, and I wouldnt emagine postage would be that expensive to New Zealand via normal mail!

Thanks Ant

Re: RamSC Header tank donor?

Here it is, its had a repair or two to stop it leaking at some point. I was going to get it paint stripped and rework it, but it was summer, and I didnt want to be off the road for more than 5 minutes!!!
Its the genuine RAM made item, made from brass, with baffle inside, and painted horribly.

Steve

P.S I wont be offended if you decide you dont want it!!

Re: RamSC Header tank donor?

It's not the type I was after.
The Ram I saw had a tube like one at the front of the engine bay, I think mounted on the top cross member.
It was on the Hallmark site a few weeks back.
