MSD coil

I am really pissed off today because my motor ran for 20mins and then my MSD blaster ss coil p/n 8207 went up in smoke!

WHY???? Any ideas?? It is wired up correctly! Anyone had any problems with them??

Hi Chris, mounted it on the fire wall! There are only 2 wires from MSD control box. It was red hot!

Martin, it's fitted vertically. And it's not the oil filled type.

Dave,

Have you checked the voltage going to it (especially with engine running).
Has anything else changed when you put the new engine in. I.e alternator , wiring etc

Every thing has been changed!! What is the voltage, must be a pulsed 5volt or 12volt signal??
