| RE: Merry Christmas Rock Doc, want to swap places, I spent some good times in the Lagos Yacht Club and the Apapa Boat Club. Used to live out near Badagri, in a little place called Agbara. Robert UK CRC Forum Admin http://www.cobraclub.com/flags/UK.gif

| RE: Merry Christmas Things have changed over the years. Am staying on V.I. at the moment and even that is a dangerous place. We have a ten o'clock curfew and there are daily carjackings!!! Going to and from the airport we drive bullet proof cars and wear flak jackets!! Have a good Christmas. x(

| RE: Merry Christmas I have to agree with you. Are you there for Christmas or at home? Last time I was here I had to fly down to PH. Came out of the airport to be greeted with a body in the middle of the road!!!!! Went out for lunch yesterday and they served up salad along with the turkey (no gravy or roast pots even). Just not the same!!! Happy New Year. x( x(

| RE: Merry Christmas At home , thankfully, first time to Warri via Lagos was in '72, just after the "troubles". Go infrequently now (thank the Lord)and only then if "caught and available". Stupidest thing I ever done in Nigeria ? 1) Took a taxi from Warri to Lagos in '72. fell asleep on the way!!! 2) Drove to Benin from Warri to make overseas phone call (All Warri phones down at the time).... still waiting for connection.!! 3) Worked for Deminex.. Charlie. :7 :7 :7 |

We went through 2 coups, one military handover and a counter coup. Great fun!!!! Spent 4 1/2 years in PH and 4 1/2 years in Lagos, or rather outside Lagos.
