Every silver lining has a cloud

No you've not read the title wrong. You know the saying that every cloud has a silver lining, well my silver lining had a cloud. Got the engine started today, got some issues with over heating and exhausts getting red hot, but who cares it ran. Went into the garage to disconnect the battery and hey presto the earth lead snapped at the lug end on the chassis. This is due to me taking the earth lead on and off so many times without supporting the cable above the lug. I'm still smiling though.

Re: Every silver lining has a cloud

Exhausts running red hot is usually down to retarded ignition timing.
Don't run it too long until it's sorted out.
Double check for air locks inthe cooling system and then bleed it again.

PS congrats on the first start. Great isn't it?
