Anyone for cocktails?

Back at work - bored, so I thought I'd share my cocktail tasting notes from the festive season so far. (BTW you guessed right, Santa gave me a cocktail book this year!)

No1. Long island iced tea. Equal measures of gin, rum, vodka, tequilla, cointreau. Lime juice, ice & top up with coke.
Easily the pick of the bunch. Two of them get you quite merry, three put you to sleep. Hangover potential - minimal as all clear spirits

No2 Rusty nail. 2 parts whisky, 2 parts drambuie. Orange zest, ice
A real mans cocktail. Horrendous hangover potential

No3. Cosmopolitan. 1.5 parts vodka, 2 parts cointreau, lime juice & top up with cranberry.
This was the girlies favourite partly 'cos its pink I suppose. Again a good one to avoid hangovers

No4 Sea breeze. 1 part vodka. 1.5 parts cranberry juice, 1.5 parts grapefruit juice
Another girlie one as popularised by the 'Sex in the City' girls. Very refreshing (the drink that is)

The general consensus was that the sweeter ones were a bit yuk & no-one attempted any with cream. Surprise surprise
Anyone got any personal favourites to try over New Year?

Cheers

Richard

Just one:

Caffrey`s premium Irish beer in a pint glass

Just got back from England, needless to say the car was full of the stuff as we can`t get it here !!

Must be the only person that imports beer from UK to the continent !!

Just a thought

"Girlie" drink?

Actually, I quite like Stoli and cranberries--can drink the things all night without waking up with the back of my head blown off. The perfect drink for pulling long stints at the blackjack tables in Vegas.

Anybody here have a taste for raki?

Next time, try a shot of Southern Comfort with an equal shot of Armaretto, it is very very nice.

RE: Anyone for cocktails?

I simply take my Ketel One out of the freezer, pour into a shaker with ice. I then get very close and yell "VERMOUTH!". Shake and pour.
