Cobretti Viper V8 Jag Rear Shocks

Hi, I,m a virgin at this but here goes. I'm repairing a Viper V8 based on Jag running gear for a mate. Its failed the MOT on amongst other things a leaking rear shock. I need to ID the shock which has no markings to try to get another. Tried ringing and e-mailing some guy that used to be a partner at Cobretti but no response. Shock is adjustable by a screwed ring to the base and looks like the collet comes off the top to remove spring. There is also a knurled bolt which is screwed into the side of the base just above the bottom mounting. Can anyone tell me what the make of shock is and where I can get one. Someone said it may be a Spax.
