I know its wet but .....

Hi all, happy new one and all that,

Woke up this morning looked out the window as always to check for good cobra weather, shrugged my shoulders as always and went out for a quick blast in between showers.

So who's driven their cobra's this year ?

A quick blast Xmas morning was my last time. }(
It hasn't stopped raining here since. ;(
Or it could be that I haven't been sober.

Me & god it was slippery. Partly to do with the fact that my neighbour came out aswell to burn up some gas on his Ducati - Excellent fun! I just must get a rev. limiter though as twice in low gears I lost traction & hit 7K accidently (ouch). Anyone know of some easy to fit inxepensive ones for loons like me?

Cheers

RE: I know its wet but .....

i've got an armtech on mine, i didnt fit it, it was on the car when i bought it. It is easily programed and gives me a shift up/down light, a rev limiter, and a speed shift thing. Where if you keep your foot on the throtle when you change gear it wont rev over hard. It makes the back end wiggle a tadge. heres a link http://www.armtech.co.uk/

Wonderful. I'll look them up. Like the sound of a back end with a bit of wiggle!

Cheers

My Son had a toy steering wheel which he used to spin furiously, making loads of go-faster noises, leaning into all the tight corners, perhaps running the government feels a bit like that. You make all the noises, but when you stop you haven't really gone anywhere.

I've got a basic Lumenition Rev limiter, No fancy lights as it is fitted in the engine bay (Has a small pulse light). Allows you to set the rev limit (between 500 AND 10,000) by running the car at half the speed you wish to limit it @. EG you want to set it at 4K you run the engine at 2K and press a button on the box and hey presto. The box will earth the pulse if the pulses come in faster than 4K a minute

made by autocar and sold by demon tweaks, my unit cost about £60 and will fit any V8 engine.

RE: I know its wet but .....

You could probably adapt it to earth as you put your clutch pedal in and get the same effect as i get. ie wiggle, and the wiggle factor is directly proportional to the grin factor
