Shrinking Carpet

Does anybody know if it is possible to shrink carpet? I've covered the rear transmission tunnel in my dax and the fit is really good. However if I could shrink it in some areas it would be perfect.

In a word no, my carpets have been soaked loads of times and they havn't shrunk.
