Ram 350 with oil cooling

I just have a quick question for anyone with a Ram with a 350 Chevy. Are there any space/clearance issues with fitting an oil cooling system either using a sandwich plate or with a remote mounting?

Thanks for any assistance, I need to buy a system this week!

Ed

ps I have asked this in the Ram forum but with no luck.

Re: Ram 350 with oil cooling

I saw your other post but left it because I was hoping someone more knowledgeable would come along. I am not sure of the clearance issues when using a sandwich plate; I'm pretty sure the filter will still clear the chassis.

I run a fully remote system with a filter head and oil thermostat (both Mocal - Think Automotive) I think mounted on the front of the passenger foot-well. The hose clearances coming off the block adapter are pretty tight. Mine is an older block where the adapter bolts on and ends up almost flush with the filter mounting. Newer blocks with spin-on filters may project further.

Hope this rambling is of some help

Re: Ram 350 with oil cooling

Everything helps!
Thanks Myles.
I have the engine "ft away from the chassis but it's stuck on a frame and I don't have a crane.
Cheers
Ed
