Fuel pipe markings -SVA

Hi
Does the copper fuel pipe require to have identification markings to make it SVA compliant.

Cheers
Jim

Re: Fuel pipe markings -SVA

The copper pipe doesn't need to be marked but the rubber pipe must be marked with the required proof of its suitability to the task.

I suggest you buy Goodyear or a similar brand name fuel hose that will carry all the required markings. Ensure that you buy hose of the correct pressure rating and it is stated on the hose if you are using fuel injection.

Cheers,

Tony

As Tony says, it doesn't need to be marked, but you want copper pipe that conforms to BS2871 Part 3 C106/CN102.

Your life depends on its quality.

Re: Fuel pipe markings -SVA

I posted this some time ago with no comments so here it is again.....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Copper also catalyzes the auto-oxidation of fuel, the mechanism of sludge formation. Copper should never be in contact with fuel.
Got that from :-
Any one any thoughts as to it's accuracy??
