MOT & Fog Lights

Hi All,
I took my fog lights off the car last year as I prefer the look without them. I also know that others have also removed them after SVA.

Am I right in saying that legally you need them back on for the MOT?

In reality, do testers turn a blind eye to this understaning that they will be back off again after the test?

What have people found. Don't want to wast time refitting if I don't need too.

Cheers

Re: MOT & Fog Lights

Hi Brian.
Yes at least one rear fog light is needed for Mot. It really depends on your tester on the day as to whether he is willing to turn a blind eye, knowing that VOSA could walk through the door at any moment.

Re: MOT & Fog Lights

Fortunately my mum is in Bromley so I might just have to pop up to her first then cruise down to Westerham with Billy
