Mild back fire

Hi all took my KCC out for a blast around the new forest today ,started first time after many weeks asleep.

I noticed that if i blip the throttle or floor it at say 35-45 mph there is a split second hesitation and pop from the exhuast before it takes off. At idle in neutral i can do both and the response is immediate,it feels like fuel starvation but pressure is good, i just wonder if it is simply that its an auto box that is in top at this speed and needs to kick down first. I did not try it in manual mode but i guess it would be more responsive if the revs were higher or dose it need a good tune-up.

Happy new year to all .

Regards Ian.

RE: Mild back fire

Hi Ian,
I don't think I'd worry too much at the moment, as if it was a cold your way as it was here yesterday (minus 2). your carb settings arn't going to be at their best for these kind intake temps.
The auto box will also be a little sluggish with the oil being very heavy and thick. (sounds like me) :7
I'd reassess the situation when the weather gets a little warmer if I were you.

JMHO
