| SVA Dashboard Switches Does anyone know where I could find switches similar to the new Mini; they seem to have got round the SVA by fitting Metal hoops between the switches,(see attached) Has anyone any bright ideas that may help get rid of those awful rocker switches. | RE: SVA Dashboard Switches I remember someone else noticed the Mini switches and made a very similar post some time ago. Oh - Just found it and no one replied http://www.cobraclub.com/crcforum/dc...ng_type=search The only way I see it possible to not use rocker switches is to either have push buttons , or stalks. Although the new reading of the SVA rules that items which are secured above the bottom line of the dash will not be tested with the spherical ball. You could therefore fit non essential switches there and hide them out of sight. I am thinking about using a rocker switch for my rear fog lamp (With an intergrated warning light that will hopefully be bright enough so as to be visible) and placing it horizontally just above the bottom line of the dash on the drivers side. My other switches are on the Sierra stalks apart from the heater switch and valve which is on the driver side of the dash console. as you are building a GD you have alot more dash switches to 'hide'. |
