RE: Aluminium Plates

I paid £18 or there abouts last month for a pair.
I'll dig out the supplier, they were well cheap compared with most I found. The quality is great.
I found them on a "Google.co.uk" search on number plates.

Sorry Derek, I have learnt from my last foray onto Ebay that the best way to do it is just to wait until the last moment and get in there quickly. Somebody else with a Cobra beat me last time. Perhaps we should have a system here amongst fellow Cobra enthusiasts such that we don't end up bidding against each other and forcing the price up.

Better luck next time!

RigMan.

RE: Aluminium Plates

Make sure they're well wrapped and secure. I ordered some and when they came they were creased as if someone had bent them and then tried to straighten them out.
They're only flimsy and need protecting from the rigours of the mail.

RE: Aluminium Plates

For anybody that does`nt realise that from the 1st of january, the laws have changed regarding aluminium plates and anybody that surplies you with them by mail order is breaking the law, because you have to provide documentation of the cars age in person.

RE: Aluminium Plates

Are we talking about the silver on black number plates?
If I manage to obtain age related plate during my application sva etc based on my log book of 1970 would I be allowed to use the old style?

Also I have seen reflective silver lettering on black plastic plates are these legal?
