Anyone used an off road buggy?

The kind of thing I mean is like a honda pilot/sidewinder/badland buggy bike engined wide double wishbone suspension which can jump etc off road? At least say 400cc.

I actually paid for one a couple of years ago but the suppliers went bust and it aint worth sueing.

They look like a lot of fun and I am still pining for one. As I'd need to sell my main car and downgrade to pay for it I was just wondering if anyone has any stories of god and bad?

I do NOT mean those 150cc 2 seaters on Ebay!

When I had a racing Land Rover, one of the problems I had was the only times I could legally use it in anger was when I was competing. So I guess if the buggy isn't road worthy I'd be even more limited as to where I could use it. Anyway, are they worth losing any more slep over?

Cheers
Ed

Re: Anyone used an off road buggy?

Ive had a go on one and it was an absolute hoot, but you'd be seriously limited to where and when you could use it; not worth downgrading your everyday car for I'd say.
Better off just going and having a go on one for a day to purge it from your system (which is what I did).
