Selling my AK - need a price !

Hi all. I built my AK two and a half years ago and have covered just 2800 miles. I have been out of the scene for quite a while now and the cobra just sits in the garage. Due to a massive change in lifestyle, the cobra needs to go and needs to be replaced with a house extension !

Before I advertise in the classifieds section (then autotrader/ebay etc), I need a ballpark price. I am having trouble locating a similar car to gauge how much its worth. Yes, I know its worth as much as someone wants to pay etc, but I still need a ballpark ! Can anyone help ?

All jag gear/diff purchased/refurbed via AK
FULL STAINLESS sidepipes built by Ken @ AK
Chromed engine bay
Rover 3.5 (Vittesse block, so easily upgradable, all chromed up)

Still in polished blue gelcoat, ready for paint of choice ! Even though its gel, people still say 'nice paint job !'

I believe the whole shooting match cost around the 18k mark.

If anyone can shed any light on a rough figure... Of course, if anyone is interested, I can send photos.

Marcus - have you tried asking AK themselves? First place I would go, they should know what prices their own cars are fetching, may even out you in touch with someone looking for one.

Also, go look at Hallmark Cars website (remember they will be asking top dollar dealer prices), and look at the adverts on this site. You should be able to get some idea from there.

Thanks Wilf. I had a quick look at the Hallmark site and saw a few Sumo cars with RV8's at around the £13k mark. I think the only thing that will reduce my price will be the lack of paint job. I will kick an email off to AK now.
