Stoneleigh camping question

Can tents be pitched next to one's car, or is there a specific camping ground? I suppose it's worth pitching the tent earlier rather than later in the day...

Hi Robin,

The last couple of years we have waited until things have died down a bit and then put the tents up behind the cars with room for a bar-b-que etc. Looked more like the Scouts were camping!!!!

I think the official line is no camping on the club stands, you can check with the organisers at emma.cooling@btconnect.com.

I think it makes sense when you consider how many turn out for the show.

We usually get together with a few friends and camp somewhere behind the JCB building but there's plenty of space around the edges of the show.

So might be best to wait until the evening as I presume the majority will be leaving before then... I'll see what the consensus is when I arrive...

If you're staying over Sunday night I suppose it should be OK as long as you pull your tent down early on Monday to make room for the Cobras.

I don't think the organisers will appreciate it if lots of people do it though!
