SVA 1 Question 11

Just filling in my SVA 1, and question 11 asks "Please give the date the vehicle was made or first registered".

Can someone clarify what they are asking for, are they after the date the chassis/body was made or what?

Hi Johnny

I've just sent off my SVA form and I put the month I was applying for SVA. ie April 2006. I have had a single sheet back from VOSA a week after application asking me to confirm what I built on the car as I put down option C, as I built the car myself. I then have just returned this form indicating to them that I have built every part of my car, ie steering, axles, suspension, engine, etc. This was the first option on the form, or you can highlight the parts you did, but I assume that you would have to provide proof that the other work was carried out by somebody else.

Lee, when you say you put down option C are you talking about the CLASS OF VEHICLE?

If so, have you not built your car yourself or are you in the business of building vehicles?

Hi John.
It means the date the chassis was manufactured....Or the date you finished the assembly, it doesn't really matter s you will not be exempt from anything so in your case I would put April 2006!
