Gumball 3000 2006

Was driving around centre of London yesterday in my Cobra and then realised they had closed off most of Green Park, Piccadilly and Pall Mall for the Gumball rally which kicked off in the afternoon. Lots of police and spectators around Hyde Park roundabout so did a few posing laps in my Cobra to lots of cheers. Got asked why I wasnt doing the rally so said (honestly) I had just got my car back from a few repairs 2 days ago - plus I then found out later it only costs £40,000 per car!! On the gumball website I found out they have no Cobras taking part, mostly Range Rovers, a few Lambos, couple of McLaren SLRs, one F50, Porsches oh and someone has decided to enter this...a VW 1990 Window Samba - ie one of those Campervan things!! Will they arrive in time for the partying each night???????

Andrew
