Original dash layout.

Has anyone got a good picture of an original 427 dash layout? Having decided to go for the MKIV GD body Im going to try and get as close to an original dash layout as possible within the confines of the MK IV dash and instruments / switches I want to use.

Wilf, what does your dash look like? Saw your car at Stoneleigh on Sunday (well I think it was yours as it was a Crendon with Gassholes stuff on it!) but the weather meant your cover was on. Im guessing as the rest of your motor is not bad your dash layout wont be too bad either!

Thank Guys,

Re: Original dash layout.

Hi Andy,

I asked a similiar question a couple of months ago, (do a search under my name for the responses I received).
Additionally take a look at the link below which Steve, (Dingocooke) kindly past onto me.

Regards,
Martyn

Re: Original dash layout.

I'll be honest, I'm not too keen on the new GD dash. The body looks great, but I think a curved dash looks better, despite being "less original". Don't think they are offering it as an option, though.

Then again, I was a fan of the Studio G dash which has had a mixed reception.

Re: Original dash layout.

David, (Crendon Man),
Can you advise what you lined your dash with as it looks great?

Regards,
Martyn

Re: Original dash layout.

Martyn,

It is a Leather Grain effect material backed plastic, stuck straight onto a GRP Dash Panel.

Original Material was supplied by Crendon but I am sure that any reputable Trim Company (Woolies??) can supply.

Hope this helps.
