So, what cr*p did you buy at Stoneleigh?

I bought:

Useful:
A battery conditioner - looks like a good piece of kit
A load of Dremel bits - keep losing the other ones
Some Allen keys - see above
Some stainless fasteners to bling my car up a bit
A parting tool for my lathe

Not so useful:
A dodgy aluminium welding wire - if it works as well as the demonstration, will be well worth the money. If not... b*gger...
Some Union Jack enamel badges

Best acquisition of the day: a big fat tool catalogue for use in the bathroom...

The best thing I got was a free price list from AK Cars! Wanna build another one! Nice bunch of people.

Jason I picked up some very nice stainless toggle switches at Detling with neon lamps in the ends, came in yellow, green, red, and blue, saves having seperate warning lamps.

A new chamois leather

A new C spanner for adjusting the shock spring perches - must get around to resetting corner weights soon.

A new 400mm breaker bar for the wheel nuts.

Oh - and two cheeseburger and chips - yum.

Re: So, what cr*p did you buy at Stoneleigh?

Mer polish.......but for some reason I got talked into buying 3 times as much as I really wanted/needed!
Four stainless steel screws.

I didn't think the show was quite as good as it has been........or was that just me.

Don't know how many Cobras were there an Sunday, but Monday seemed quite a low turn out.

Wanted to buy a replacement CRC windscreen sticker.......mine got lost when I replaced my cracked screen........but they are out of stock.

David

Didn't manage to see you -wanted to ask you about your screen as mine has sustained what appears to be a near terminal crack over the weekend. Will PM you when I have a mo

BTW. Apparently close to 200 cobras were counted at 3pm on sunday on the CRC patch alone, but by then there were already a few gaps.

I bought:
  • A really crap grease gun
  • A hotdog with a stale cob for £3!!!
  • & I nearly bought a chromed alternator because the guy had a sign up saying 20% off until I found out the "on the day price" was £160!!

Great minds think a like Andy, I bought the same switches at detling too but I also went for the warning lights on the dash - the dash on the Pilgrim would look a bit sparse without them I think - if it looks too much when I build the dash with gauges etc I may not use them

Two bacon sarnies, expensive at £3 each, but captive audience. Also, is it me, but have never seen so many stands selling tools. Not as good as last year in my opinion.
