| Re: Gardner Douglas with side pipes The guy in question is Chris from Halifax, unfortunately I don't know his user name for this site or even if he is registered? He has an LS engine and has done a good job of the exhausts. He made the headers himself and used a set of 316 stainless side pipes v.similar to originals. They were made by Steve-Art who is a member of the CRC. He made my pipes and they are the best out there...in my opinion. See pics below. I think most folk (until GD offer them) will be fabricating their own headers as the cost for a pro to spend the time making them would cost £££. I believe GD will be using a different route for the headers rather than through the chassis triangulations. I went the difficult route as you get the angle on exit. I have made mine in such a way that the body can be removed with the headers fitted. Not a bad job as long as you set plenty of time aside and have an endless amount of hacksaw blades! I only have pics of the pipes on a MK3 as that was the body I used to fab around. I am still building the courage to cut the holes in my shiny MK4! Hope this helps.
