How about you tell Pat. I keep my promise and then I can go to bed as I have a 3.5 hour drive to work tomorrow!

Nice offer, but the clutch might pack up!! And I'll need a ticket

Sounds like one of several things to me:

a) Low battery voltage at starter.. Check connections and voltage at starter and solenoid.

b) Dirty solenoid, not sliding in its bore freely... Check and clean. ( Common fault on Fords)

c) A fault with the lever that throws the dog into the ring gear.. Short travel check.

Hope this helps.

Tickets??
