Just to let you know, I had a snap together single fuse holder (for the spade type fuses) in the live to my fuel pump in the boot.
Obviously I've not got it quite right when pushing it together because it melted!
The 5amp fuse hadn't blown, but the whole of one side of the holder and the fuse had melted and effectively isolated the supply thus stopping the fuel pump.
I remember it being a bit of a struggle to get the holder to snap shut, but it all seemed ok at the time and has been fine for about 18 months.
Fortunately I was on a quiet back road at the time and managed to use the spade legs of a spare fuse to crimp around the wires, thus still having a fused supply to the pump.
I've now got an inline fuse holder that is much sturdier with screws to clamp the cable ends.
Just a warning to those building or that have built using snap together stuff. I should have used something of a better quality at the time, still, live and learn eh?
