Ever wish you'd done something right the first time?

My GD was a creaky old beast at low speed (I suppose at high speed I just couldn't hear it). This was mainly due to the rollbars touching the bodywork - something I knew about but didn't have time to fix before SVA.

Have now spent the whole afternoon/evening removing the damn things, only to find that the bolts in my body mounts seem to be the wrong length and they squeak too... changed one of them in the boot and made a dramatic improvement...

"Body can be removed in about an hour"

Yes... with an angle grinder

Before you put the body mounting bolts in, measure through the hole to the chassis and either shorten or space the bolts accordingly.

You must be a stronger man than I, and Chris, and my friends Rick and Nic...

Perhaps the gravity is lower in MK?

Chris - was this op before or afterwards my fitting? Hope nothing popped out on the day!!!
