Battery charging

Probably up for dumb question of the year, but,

I've just bought a 'calcium technology' battery from Halfords for the cobra. They differentiate them from their standard battery. When it comes to charging/maintaining, my charger has two settings, standard and sealed gel. Do I still set to standard for charging or sealed - I'm assuming standard but can someone confirm please :thumb:

thanks in advance

dave

Re: Battery charging

Hi Dave
Not too sure about standard and sealed. All the chargers I have come across have fast/slow settings. Fast does what it says on the tin but does not give as good a charge as slow. Better to use slow as it gives a "deeper" charge to the battery and therefore lasts longer.
Cheers, Clive.

Cheers Clive :thumb:

I'll stick with Standard for the time being and update for a better charger/conditioner over the next few months.
