Marina/Ital Brake Servo

Damn and blast - my servo has decided to make lots of hissing noises, but no discernable brake boosting effect, so.......

Anyone got a dual circuit Marina/Ital servo or servo overhaul kit? Or know where to go to find one? Nothing wrong with my master cylinder, it is the servo I need.

BTW - no point quoting my own post about JCL - he has a few master cylinders, but no servos. Grrr. Victim of my own helpfulness - he sold out about 4 weeks after I posted here a year ago!

Also, my usual suspects at JEM hydraulics can't help either.

Re: Marina/Ital Brake Servo

Sorry Wilf, I've just sent my spare one to Ed (Bitsilly). PastParts will rebuild yours, or may sell you a rebuild kit. http://www.pastparts.co.uk/ HTH

Re: Marina/Ital Brake Servo

Already tried Pastparts - no joy.

Powertrack will rebuild it - 1 month and £240. Like I am taking it off the road for a month right now! Silly people (and a silly price too).

Re: Marina/Ital Brake Servo

I am pretty sure the late Marina/Ital servo is a Girling unit, will check tonight, but yes, it is that sort of thing, just different.........

Re: Marina/Ital Brake Servo

Wilf - from my recent expreience, it appears that there are at least two types of Ital/Marina servo which certainly differ in the size of M/C they will accept. I don't know whether the unit that I have fitted now is originally from a S/C Ital, but in the end, we got a Capri D/C M/C to fit it OK.

Pete.
